Are persimmons susceptible to RKN?
« on: December 22, 2021, 09:03:08 AM »
Hello, I live in Miami, Florida, and apparently have plenty of root knot nematodes (RKN) in my yard. I believe they killed my lime tree (found roots filled with galls). I really want to have a tree in the spot where I had the lime though. Does anyone know if persimmons are susceptible to RKN? I wonder if the Nishimura Wase "Coffee Cake" persimmon on Native American Persimmon 'Diospyros virginiana" (from JFE) would also meet its demise if I plant it in the same spot.

Thank you,
Dorian
