I'm going to relate my story, and you can use this information however you will. In 2015 I went to a dermatologist with a spot on my nose that was initially a pimple but would never heal properly. It would repeatedly form a scab but never go away and eventually start to bleed a little again. After about two years like this I made that appointment with the dermatologist, and she did a biopsy to determine that there were basal cancer cells present. She said I needed surgery and ended up making a long slice down the front of my nose and removing what seemed like a lot of skin tissue. She didn't do a skin graft, feeling it was unnecessary, but only stitched the two sides together. I trusted her judgement and expertise, and my nose eventually healed, but I was left with a noticeable scar.
About a year ago a similar but smaller spot appeared on my forehead above my eyebrow, again never healing properly. This time before I went off to see the dermatologist, I thought I'd try a little experiment with guanabana leaves. What the heck I have two trees. I bought a mortar and pestle from BBB. Then I picked a leaf from my tree and ground it to pulp, adding a little fresh aloe vera for additional moisture. I applied this material to my forehead, covering the problem spot and fixing it in place with a band-aid, and I left it like that for an hour or two until the pulpy mass dried out. I repeated this every day for about two weeks. By the end of the period, the spot had stopped bleeding and began to heal properly. It's now several weeks later, and it looks almost like normal skin with only very slight redness.
I will grant you that no biopsy was ever done so I didn't prove conclusively that there were basal cancer cells present. BUT... I'm glad I tried this experiment and would recommend that anyone with a similar situation and access to guanabana leaves try it out before he goes to see a dermatologist and undergoes surgery.
