Nice selection of mangoes picked today
« on: June 16, 2018, 01:52:06 PM »
Nice small group of mangoes picked while walking around the yard doing general maintenance. Fruit Punch, Lemon Zest, Rosigold, Coconut Cream, Angie, and Cogshall.

This, of course, is in addition to the dozens upon dozens of Glenn and even more Haden (from my wife's mother) that are rotting on the counter because we can't keep up with cutting/freezing them for smoothies.

Send some my way, I'll pay shipping!!! Would love to have some. I plan on getting a Glenn tree as soon as greenhouse can be built. I've never tasted one though.

Super colorful fruit punch and colorful others. Fruit punch looks like a mango that would sell based on "curb appeal" plus I read it has great taste. Have not eaten one yet.

the couple we've had so far have been leaps and bounds better than everyrhing else this year. Thus far it is the only non-washed out mango in the yard.

usually lemon zest but this year they've been very washed out. some are starting to get some citrusy flavor but nowhere near as intense as they should be.

Lemon Zest a dud this year? dab-gumit  My first year fruiting and I am waiting for some color change on this fruit, it is in a clam shell(maybe I should use two) for it being highly prized. The 1/4 sized fruit that was purged from the tree was intense.
