Thanks. Many like me are interested in this special varietyof sugar apple.
But you never replied to my private message about shipping 1g plant that i was interested in. I thought you were busy with too many inquiries but a simple ‘no sorry we don’t ship 1g as of now’ would have made me feel you did not ignore customer like me.
Hoping to help each other in future,
Satya

You must have another variety than me, mine taste the same as noina but they do have a red skin. I have a grafted tree bought in thailand.

I also grow the red fleshed illama, mainly for it's raspberry flavour (which i only read about) but now i wonder if they really will have that flavour.

Yes i think it’s different. My variety has proven very difficult to graft. Ive tried for years even on its own root its dismal results.

The standard garden variety purple is kampong mauve and these look paler and sound like they have firmer flesh.

We have over 60 healthy 4 yo SA trees.  I have found they do not require any watering here.  We have been able to eat unlimited SA, mostly they just get composted here.  I cannot taste any difference between the red and white SA.  As far as flavor I mostly just detect sweetness with all SA I have tasted.  I have noticed that green SA pollinate very well on their own whereas my reds do not make hardly any fruit without hand pollination.  Personally I only like a tree ripened SA and only the chewy type.  My purple chewy SA has not fruited yet and I’m not excited to try it, sorry just my preference.  Attemoyas are soooo much better tasting, same growing requirements, excellent flavor, big fruit and good variety.  Unfortunately for me SA are mostly a disappointment unless picked ripe from the tree and chewy.  I am not sure if we will ever offer SA for sale unless they are tree ripened.  I do agree people seem more attracted to red fruit so that alone is reason to grow Luke’s chewy SA over other SA.
