Sounds great Carlos.  Do you know anywhere that sells trees in Florida?

Not to my knowledge I was thinking if there is enough  interest a place like Lara Nursery can be commission to graft 10 trees next season. I don,t have the time or space. I really want to focus on maturity, range, taste, shelf live etc as soon as fruit begin to be ready in mid October.

Thanks, Carlos. I always enjoy your videos -- including this one -- even though I'm in California.

Video is great and the flowering and fruiting of your tree is incredible!   Much appreciated.  I have Pinkerton I grafted last year holding a few fruit.  Will probably graft another stick onto a Oro Negro seedling.  It's a wonderful variety.   The fruit I bought out of California was delicious.  Rich buttery taste, nice thick skin, small seed.

Do you have Reed?  OMG!  Wife says it's like eating a stick of butter.  Bears heavy, pest free, just the best in taste.  If you need sticks let me know.  Have been eating delicious Reeds since May and have more to go.

Hi Mark. Yes I have a Reed that is 3 years old, post graft now I need to start paying more attention to it,
Regarding the Pinkerton. Mine is in an off year now last year it had double the fruit. Please keep us posted on your size, maturity etc. Is a good tree.

Will do Carlos.  Looks like Pinkerton is a good fit for Florida and might work out commercially for you.  It's a seedling of Rincon and Hass.  Rincon is known for doing well in heat so perhaps that gene carried over into Pinkerton.  Only "negative" I've heard of is the long neck ripening (softening) before the blossom end.

There's a seedling of Pinkerton you might want to consider too, Palo d’Oro. http://www.epicenteravocados.com/varieties/palo-doro-2/

I don't think It will ever be commercial but good for HO that are looking for superior flavor.  As soon as October comes around I will do a lot of testing on the ripening issues.
