Grows well in Southern California. Nuts taste just like coconut but a lot smaller. I have a friend who is really into growing them. To extract edible part.... use a hammer and cloth.

Hi Nullzero,''eyeballed the ingredients'' the recipe did not give amounts!1kg of licuri kernals (processed finely or pounded with a mortal and pestal), mix the processed kernals with a bit of water. put the mixture in a cheese cloth, press the liquid out! Pour the liquid in a pot, add sugar and milk. mix continously until obtaininga thick caramel! butter a baking tin, pour it and let it to cool down completly!!!!
