Lil’ Gem mango?

Anyone tried it?  Supposedly a new Zill variety. Just bought a tree, wondering if I should exchange it for a Orange Sherbet.

Tried it several years and it hasn’t impressed. Noting performance for any mango, tree can change over time, it doesn’t make my top 80. OS top 5.

It was labeled "Lil' Jim" at the time, a boo-boo I imagine.

Highly productive.  I wasn't impressed with anything else about the fruits on the original tree.  I haven't observed grafted ones.

Thank you for that response.  I love, love the Orange Sherbet mango, in my top 5.  But - I have heard there are some health issues with the trees, such as fungus issues.  Have you observed much of this?

I was not impressed with little Gem, had some undertones of Graham in the flavor. Orange sherbet is an excellent fruit with less disease issues than its brother LZ. A little softer than LZ with big Flavor. Richard Campbell grows it (OS) in his homestead orchard. That should give an idea of its qualities.

I’ve had some good Little Gems but I suspect it’s a mango that doesn’t respond well to being picked green.
