Called yesterday. No longer carry flying dragon rootstock. Seems the owner said- that in Florida flying dragon rootstock is on its way out. Not profitable for growers here. Doesnt seem right but anyway..still looking. Thank you for the lead .

My large Cara Cara is growing on Flying Dragon root stock. The tree is now about 11 feet tall and wide. - Produces abundant fruit.

Am I right when I think Flying Dragon is one of the least susceptible root stocks to 'greening' ? Tom

Dont know...but if so all the better! Im looking for it for its drawfing traits.
-
If you weren't in FL.... I have a variegated Cara cara I could graft.

I buy citrus from brute leaf. I have a dwarf Cara cara from them I think I might keep. Not sure the rootstock although it is a dwarf. Red navals are my favorite
-
Nick Edibles- how old is your Cara Cara? Trying to keep it below 10 feet at max, thats why I ask. I love Navels too- when they are spot on ripe -really no other orange can match its sweetness that Ive had the luxury of tasting anyway.
-
I got it from them a couple months ago...Time to play the waiting game....
-
Woah, Laaz, that's a beautiful fruit.

WOW THAT IS A LOVELY TREE!!!!!!
I think i will try again with citrus here.
