Cory, that is a fascinating leaf structure. Chances are as the seedling produces more foliage the new leaves will grow out normal. But you never know. I had one Red Clementine that developed two nucellar seedlings, then nothing more. So I transplanted them, then about a week after they were in their own pots, another nucellar seedling broke through the soil surface and began to grow.
