Wow , that sounds like the best Annona of all time!
Except for the flavor part and Cherimoya is a much more cold hardy and widely acceptable rootstock here in California at least. I would hate for anyone in California to have the misconception that A. Montana was a better rootstock than Cherimoya, or would fruit all the time and taste like a soursop.
Maybe yours is the best in the world ever in the history of the world though, somehow.

he he
i never said anything about it having good flavour ???
the guanabanas seedlings here in the tropix r pretty much always flushing and vigorous, making grafts easier to take and montana can grow to a LARGE and heavy bearing tree if that is appropriate to someones requirements  ;)
also it has medicinal qualities if its grown as a stand alone tree.
i agree cherimoya is a great rootstock as well.
i will modify my BEST comment to one of the BEST

How cold hardy do you think this fruit tree is on its own not used as a rootstock?
Trying to grow it all!

My A. montana lost all it’s leaves here in SF when the temps got to the mid 50’s. The trunk is still alive but if 55 is not warm enough then I’m not sure it would ever be happy here. Going to see if it leafs out in spring. Hoping it was more a result of the fall winter light shift.
