FGM my last Big Red annonas this year
« on: December 29, 2013, 08:49:29 PM »
Had a small winter crop (approx. 20 fruits) of my Big Red sugar apples.  With the smaller crop, most of them tend to grow fairly large. The bigger of these two weighed 20 ounces.

Those are some nice looking fruit!  Thanks for sharing the photos... can't wait to get them growing in my yard.

Noel, I keep checking my mail and I haven't seen my care package yet.  Am I wasting my time?   ;D

Nice! Would kill for some fresh annonas...only ones I've had are grocery store cherimoyas and I think only one decent one at that.

Noel,

Where did you and Oscar get those knives?  How does everyone not lust after those super cool beauties?

I just ate the big one and it was amazing with their usual raspberry custard flavor. For some reason, this fruit had fewer and larger seeds than the normal Big Reds. I will be planting most of these....

Noel,

The are French-made Opinel Inox knives and they are very cool with an incredible cutting blade. Great for slicing your favorite tropical fruits. We got them as gifts from a friend.
