Have real bad scale infestation & I think I shocked it with salt fertilizer...?

Yah, that looks like fert burn. It could croak when the summer rolls around. Wait til Apr / May to determine whether or not it sticks around.
Lemon meringue does seem to attract scale. You can ignore it, as it's normally only a winter time issue. There are a number of OMRI listed pesticides which will treat it. I use a combo of botanigard and azasol.

Spray with Neem oil - no poisons needed. Diatomaceous earth can also help keep them away.

What potting soil do you have them in now? My understanding is that regular off the shelf, especially miracle grow is detrimental due to root rot.

Thank You Cookie Monster & LivingParadise! Is it a bad idea to give it another dose of fertilizer? & mangomongo I made a mix of garden soil & yucca coir compost. Thinking about making my own mix of natural soil (which is very sandy), lava sand, & fir bark..but before I do more research & help is needed lol. I seen someone mentioned the fafard 3b mix but I only grow organically.

That is classic fertilizer burn. Don't give it any more fertilizer. You'll want to flush out what fertilizer is in the container.
You should look into an osmocote / slow release container fertilizer.

Okay thank you!
