Help with a potted longan
« on: March 27, 2015, 11:38:03 PM »
My longan in a pot which I put in the greenhouse about 2 months ago is starting to turn yellow and dropping some leaves. I have another one in my workshop under an LED grow light , but it is still green. I have fertilized the one in the greenhouse lightly with dynagro. Also yesterday, I gave it some dynagro in a foliar spray. It has new growth and I think I see some spikes forming.

The temp in the green house varies from  50 to 90 degrees.  The temp in the workshop may be 40 to 60.

I mist each plant 2-3 times per day.  The one in the green house with city water from the faucet.  The one in the workshop is misted with city water from a spray bottle.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advanced. Van

I've also posted in GW but there is more detail here.

Could be over watering.

Older leaves usually turn yellow and drop too though.

get a "feel" for how heavy your containers are after a watering.  If they become easy to tilt and/or lift, then obviously you need to water.  My big one in a container will drop leaves when dry.  As said below, older leaves can drop as well.  The plant looks good and if new growth is emerging, I wouldn't be too concerned.
