Mod edit: The correct name is either Mahachanok or Maha Chanok.

Well with some of the most fertile, nutrient and mineral rich soil on earth, it should do well.  Congrats..just curious as to how you got that into Jamaica though, I'd like to know the procedures to get some different varieties in to plant out...

Looks like you are well on your way to some excellent fruit.  I am curious as to what part of the island this is growing in.  What is your elevation? The tree appears to be planted in a partially protected area near a structure.  Is it getting full sun throughout the day?  And to which direction is the tree openly exposed in opposition to the protecting structure on two sides of the tree?

Good luck with your mango trees in Jamaica.  I think you'll have great success and some exceptionally delicious mangos!  Good to know PIN is now carrying Mahachanok.

Harry, I reviewed his previous posts to get the backstory.

PIN is carrying what ZHPP is propagating.

Hi Harry in answer to your questions
1 the elevation is 600 feet approx
2 It is facing North
3 In the Montego Bay area
4 It gets full Sun all day until the Sun goes past the wall behind late afternoon
5 The structure you can see is our boundary wall, The Maha Chanok is in the back right hand corner
This photo is taken when I first planted them... the MC is in the far corner

That all depends, they can get whatever ZHPP propagates but dont always get every variety available.

I sent you a PM.
