Alangium salviifolium(Thondy)

Here is some pics of Alangium salviifolium, a unique fruit from the Western Ghats,locally it is called Thondy,is a bushy plant grows upto 10 feet,fruits are sweet and slightly sour mixed,very juicy and tree is very eye catching too.Fruiting season is June -July, this year season has just started...

Looks really showy, nice flesh color, do they sell it or the trees are only in the wild?

The plant is called 'Ankolam' in Malayalam and has medicinal properties.
