nice looking photo Brad, wish my wife could post like that, she is just learning to post to e-mail and facebook thought we would be able to transfer them over but no luck,do not know what you are going to do when your trees get larger, might need to start eyeing you neighbors yards for more space . Regards Patrick
thanks
yeah, i will have to prune the limbs to keep them in my yard
i will have a nice shady spot though.
i had a couple of dozen extra 2x4 and other old wood
i made a walkway and i think i will put a bench down
when the trees get larger to sit under them
the walkway is a bit larger than it looks
a lot of vegetation/groundcover over it.
the Coco is the large one on the right
the Li is on the left
the unknown is in back
and the Sherwood is in back -off to the right a bit
(behind the coco and short)
Coco -very good !!
Here is the Li which were large this year
but, not as sweet or crisp as the Coco
How do the Coco taste?
actually, very good.
it might just be the year, or the fact that the Coco is a bit closer
to an old pond i filled in with coffee grounds, sawdust, leaves etc...
(its a huge compost "pile" so to speak)
they are crisp and very sweet.
the Sherwood are good, and the Li were disappointing this year at least.
the Li are the largest though.
The Coco is variable. some fruit are pretty small, others are normalish.
Also, we had a LOT of rain in the beginning of the summer.
like avg of 5 days a week for several weeks.
they all flowered twice, but i got almost nothing from the first
i think the rain washed away all the pollen.
