The Southeastern Citrus Expo, Coming to Savannah, Georgia
November 17 & 18, 2017

Friday, November 17th Activities
Optional Friday Tours:
Franklin Farms, Statesboro, GA 2:00 PM
John Trask’s Citrus Grove, St. Helena Island, SC, 2:00 PM
Savannah Back Yard citrus orchard, 212 Oxford Dr. 1:00-5:00 PM
Self-guided Friday Tours:
Plantings at Armstrong State University
Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens.

Citruholics Banquet, Friday 6:00 PM, Sweet Potatoes Kitchen, 6825 Waters Ave, Savannah, which is close to the Quality Inn (see below).

Saturday, November 18th Activities
Saturday's conference sessions will be held at the beautiful Skidaway Island State Park, which borders Georgia's intracoastal waterway. http://www.gastateparks.org/SkidawayIsland
$5 parking fee for most vehicles.
$10 per person registration at the door

8:00 AM-5:00 PM: Confirmed speakers include:
Mike Barwald on the history of Flying Dragon Citrus Nursery, Jacksonville, FL;
Lindy Savelle of the Georgia Citrus Association on the progress with commercial citrus growing in Georgia;
Jamie Burrow of the University of Florida on citrus greening and other citrus growing challenges;
Billy Renz on the commercial citrus groves of Franklin Farms in Statesboro;
A panel of experts will share experiences and provide advice to us home growers.
There will also be Plant Sales; Citrus Fruit Contest; Raffle.

Post-Expo: Experts available for help, time to network and socialize, snacks and beverages provided

Box Lunch from Jason’s Deli: $10, beef or turkey on focaccia or vegetarian wrap, sides, beverages, dessert, gluten-free upon request. Lunches must be ordered in advance by November 15 and paid for at the door.

The group rate is $85 plus tax per night for Friday, November 17 and Saturday November 18.
The weeknight room rate applies for nights before or after the expo.
Call the hotel directly by October 15 and say you are with the citrus expo to get the $85 per night rate.
