when is parianka pomegranate season and how do you know when they are ready?
boxturtle:
googled it and they say either wait until they split or hit it for metallic sound. big and small sounds all the same???
AndrewAZ:
I hear most varieties are not ready until late november.
fyliu:
They should swell up and the skin becomes thinner and you can see the shape of the arils inside. Even then, my friend's Desertnyi in San Diego wasn't ripe. You probably have to sacrifice a few fruits to figure it out for your specific location.
boxturtle:
thanks all and sorry about putting this in the wrong place
Mugenia:
Normally, I'd wait until the leaves turn yellow and start falling.
