Cherimoya vs Mountain Soursop as Rootstock
« on: February 22, 2018, 08:47:20 PM »
Are there any advantages to using Mountain Soursop as a rootstock versus Cherimoya?

Vigor?  Cold Hardiness?  Production?

I have a couple dozen Cherimoya seedlings that I started last Summer, but I recently picked up some Mountain Soursop seeds.  Is it worth planting them for any reason?

Thanks,
Sonny

Long term compatibility is still somewhat of a mystery with many species and even down to selection or cultivar level. I think it depends on your growing region and soil profile as well.
