Almost Killed my jackfruit with 16-16-16
« on: April 28, 2018, 08:57:03 PM »
Just 1/4-1/2 cup to a 8 foot tree burned up the all the tips.  I think it will pull through though.  It looked like it was doing a huge growth spurt so I thought I would help it out.  Instead lost all new growth but old leaves are hanging in there.  In the area it is planted also have roselle, it was unaffected, so the amount of fertilizer not really over the top I think.

Any other trees people notice don't tolerate chemical fertilizer?

I've killed trees with fert before.  It's a hard lesson.

Plants with too little nutrients don't thrive.  But too much is deadly (esp. of certain nutrients).  It's a delicate balance.

something in my fishpond water burns the hell out of my Pulasan leaves, maybe nitrogen from the fish waste?  About lost my Pulasan sapling to that.  Hopefully it gets tall soon so irrigation doesn't affect it.
