Can you help identify this Mamey Variety
« on: November 16, 2012, 12:15:50 PM »
Returning from the grove I decided to go via Krome. There is a fruit stand at 100 ST they were selling this mamey at $2.50 a lb. I got a couple. Is not bad. Color is good, no fiber, I had sweeter. Of course the attendant  had no idea about varieties.
What do you think it is?

I think there are 3 possibilities. A seedling mamey, Emilio Duran, or Celso #3 cultivar.

I got those choices by looking at the pics from here:

Without knowing where it is from, and being mid November, i would say nIling down the variety would be difficult.
