Desert ... as much as my family loves to eat them green, true greatness of mangoes aren't in that stage.I'll do the conversion once everything is completed or near completion, how's that? jk I will update as we go along.
Thanks so much for this Murahlin and SQUAM!!!!!!!I don't see the "other viewers" button on the right sidewhen I open it, Mura. Anyway I added a couple things -but like someone said - the HEROIC members should havesome great filler information for much of the list. And I was intrigued by Pan's idea of degree days - seems likethat WOULD be the general key as to when something would fruit.Seems like that kind of science would align with the plant's inner computer. Not even sure if that info is available much for the diff. species....BUt this whole charting idea is conceptually POTENT!GaryFang
Spelling is everythingdesert or dessert
Once again, please do not change any of the names of the categories I made. If you would like to suggest something different, mention it here. Do not take it upon yourself to change it. Someone changed the Fruit Season category to Fruit Seasons in Florida so I deleted everything that was Florida specific. If we need a FL column it can be separate but I am not sure if we need one. Do you guys think we need a separate column for Florida Seasons?
The Browards Rare Fruit Tree Council has a nice list of mangos on their website:http://www.rfvcbroward.org/mangos.html

oops the Kook Lom Krong is not there anymore - did I do something wrong?Fangiliscious
OK - re-entered it and added a few comments. Now, is this supposed to be some kind of "official" knowledge of the variety or what someone told you or "the word on the street" kind of information? A Lynn from Frankie's is where I gleaned this info from the old tropical fruit forum and I am using it like it pulls some weight, as there is so little on the internet about Kook Lom Krong...Perhaps some info is better than nothing? Or...perhaps the Source of the information should be revealed (oh but then if 5 peopla add stuff to a variety you might have 5 different sources!)Gary
Yesterday I went through the list and added info to quite a few varieties.
