[b]ALL SOLD [/b]Galicia Negra Fig Tree cuttings, these cuttings are 8'' - 9'' long. These cuttings are starting
to wake up from a very short dormancy, and it's time to start rooting them know. To me these are better tasting Figs than Black Madeira any Day. Please PM me for payment details.

Do they have a very tight eye? Most figs I can't do down here ,sour bugs.Any rust resistant?

Hi Shot,
yes they are tight , I really don't know about rust resistant, If you are talking about Rust in Well Water, well that type of Water will stain just about any Plant or Tree, including the House.

The rust I speak of is foliar , comes at late season
Used to have a fig from ringling grounds sarasota called nelson that was good for my area but lost it,
big purple fig

Fig cuttings came today thank you very nice ones and extra!!
Question should i peel off the wax on the basal end of the cutting for rooting?Vermiculite coarse damp?

My favorite way to root them, you can use soil mix or large sized jiffy pellets. I have had great success rooting figs this way for many years. You can use Starbucks cups and lids to do it too, the lids provide adequate humidity which encourages root development. Good luck!

Hi John,
Glad you got your cutting, it was hard to pack them in the Flat Rate box, I never use those, but I had to in order to print your label straight from USPS,usually I just print the label from PP.
I always remove the bottom wax, you can cut 1/8'' 1/4'' of to get rid of the wax.

There is many ways to root cuttings, like ManVF. in an open coffee cup, reg. 7-11 store plastic drink cup with a lid, the Fig pop method,like ones in the container over cable tv box, some in a plastic storage container outside sitting on the ground, and the 1 gal. container with a Pepsi Bottle over it, there are many ways, use what works best for you!

Guys I wrap some but not all, actually out of all the cuttings I'm trying to root right now, the ones that are doing very good are the ones sitting in the ground in a container, with the lid on top.
