Very large Hasya sapodilla fruit
« on: May 02, 2018, 09:31:35 PM »
We've had about 10 sapodilla off this tree thus far, but this one (which held on the longest) absolutely dwarfs every other fruit that was on the tree (which were not tiny). Not sure why this one grew to freakishly large size but looking forward to devouring it in a couple days.

And before the jokes start rolling in... no, I'm not a manlet.

I recently enjoyed two Hasya sapodilla also. Here is a picture on both. The first one I peeled. The second one I ate the peeling and it was imperceivable;  much easier to just eat it all. They were very good tasting.

Are all your fruit that round? My Haysa doesn't have round fruit.

Wow! Thats a large fruit. How sweet is it compared with the smaller sized varieties?

This looks like the commercial variety that I saw in the Atlanta area's farmer markets. I'd love to grow some myself.

My Hasya tree is loaded with flowers but all I see is one fruit, that too from last year.  I hope some of the flowers turn into fruit.
