Well there is also another great famous mango that you can buy only form India.
devgade mango, ratnagiri mango.

Its a Alphanso mango grown in regions/place named Devgad and Ratnagiri in Maharashtra state in India. Each regions soil and climate gives Alphanso mango a unique and distinctive flavor. Both Devgad and Ratnagiri hapus/hafoos/Alphonso are very popular in India.

Alphonso mangoes are known for there flavour and sweetness all over the world. The best alphonso are grown in the areas of Ratnagiri and Devgad are the best in the market.

Alphonso is mediocre here in US, does not put out same flavor that you get in India. I have top worked my tree. besides spongy texture issues, Florida mangoes are well adapted for US Folks and flavor is hard to beat.
