These are pretty easy to beat i believe, You can even remove them with hands if the quantity is small or use a pesticide.
I had these on my citrus mane years ago, i remember using some pesticide and they were gone.

Good luck to your tree.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / DIOECIOUS fruit trees plant List
« on: January 23, 2015, 08:56:27 AM »
I have decided to make this list to make a reliable information base for everyone's use.
Share your experience and knowledge of what fruiting plants are DIOECIOUS.
Please include a scientific name if possible. Only fruiting trees, shrubs, vines, palms and nuts will be added. I will arrange the list in alphabet order.

Quote
Dioecious
/dʌɪˈiːʃəs/

Cudrania cochinchinensis
Cudrania tricuspidata
Diospyros crassiflora
Diospyros nigra
Garcinia gardneriana

Yes you could grow them, but not for commercial production. For good production better you wait and plant them all in southern Vietnam.

Thanks for inspiration! I am not planning to grow my trees for commercial production, but only as spices for my backyard garden collection. My goal is to collect and grow various tropical fruit trees that are not indigenous to Vietnam. :)

Thanks a lot for your reply! Yeah, i am planning to move the plants in bigger bucket/pots as they grow taller.

Thanks all. Resolved

How many years does it takes for seed grown Jabuticabas to fruit anyway? Wiki says it takes 10+ Years :O Seriously?
My Jabuticaba is 3 years old, but hasnt fruited yet

I personally had 100% germination, 6 out of 6, but only 2 survived. Some died to some fungi problems i think.
Looking forward to get some more next year.
Thanks Durian Lover.

I love Yuzu! I have a small Yuzu tree that produces fruits that look just like yours Mihavo, have you ever made Ponzu from your Yuzu juice? Homemade Ponzu is the best!

Hey :D
Then Your small Yuzu should be fruiting now, my local market is flooded with this citrus. :3
Yes, the homemade Ponzu is the best! But unfortunately i rarely cook at home, i work at the restaurant and eat all my meals there.
Yuzu fruits are also good for keeping in refrigerator, they are very fragrant while absorbing all bad scents around.

The second picture looks like some black ladybug variety :/

The rest is pretty nasty. I would use pesticides right away...
Hope You can get rid of those.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Once again, Hydrogen Peroxide
« on: December 13, 2014, 08:46:55 AM »
So i did some reading about sterilizing seeds and more, using hydrogen peroxide, and looks like its a pretty cool stuff.
But I want to hear Your opinions about concentrations used for soaking seeds. Some resources say soak into pure (with no water added) 3% Hydrogen Peroxide for 20 minutes, others say put 1 or 2 teaspoon per 250 ml of water and so on. How do You personally use this chemical for your purposes?

Thanks for reading!

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Black spots on leaves
« on: December 08, 2014, 06:11:34 AM »
Hello,
I have recently spotted some worrying black spots on my Kepel seedling's leaf. So far only one leaf was found being affected.
Any one has any ideas what can this be? A bacteria or fungus? Or temperature caused problem?
Freaks me out :< SOS!

No problems, mate!

1) http://www.kobayashi-seed.com/shopdetail/002006000033/002/006/X/page1/recommend/
For example this one, black skin and yellow flesh, has a small pocket with 8 Seeds and a big one with 200 seeds. The price for big one is higher ofc. Almost 100 USD.

2) http://www.kobayashi-seed.com/shopdetail/002006000023/002/006/X/page1/recommend/
And this one is said to have 6 seeds per small pocket and again 200 seeds in a big pocket.

If you want i can get some small packs for you, but the big ones are too expensive to me atm.
I asked my friend today, and he told that they still do sell fresh watermelons grown in greenhouses, but he may be mistaken. Ill ask at my closest green grosery store tomorrow.
