ForestHouse in Cameroon has them, in season.  I believe that there is an earlier thread about this plant.  I have had seeds sitting for over a year in a baggie with sphagnum with no germination -- not sure what the trick is.  However, until they rot, I will hold on to them.  My first Gnetum africanum seed took about a year or so to germinate (still waiting on the others...).

Congrats on Gnetum africanum, if you ever have future seeds for trade or sale I would be interested. I have been trying to find a seed source for this one for a while.
Grow mainly fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

The trick with any calathea germination is using compost forest leaf litters.  I have been breeding curcoma and stromanthe for years and discovered the natural soil earth compost litters and worm caste mix keep moist but not wet will get these prayer to explodes!  Sphaghnum is over overused & overabused; I don't recalled seeing sphaghnum growing in the tropic where most prayer plants thrive!  Go find a cowpie in a pasture, stick seeds in and put in shade that work too! Your sweet prayer plant would have no problem sprouting if it goes through a digestive tract lets say a civet cat or a couple Maltese or Selfies!💩😆😆💩💩🔥

Unless more seeds start to germinate, I will not have seeds to offer at any point -- this is reportedly dioecious.  ForestHouse in Cameroon has them in season, as well as G. bucholzianum.

I have a in addition 3 plants Thaumatococcus Daniel (photo). The first seeds germinated for about 4 months after planting, these 3 after about 6 months. It grows very quickly, the oldest plant is much larger (second photo) - she is not for sale.
For sale in EU.

I ultimately did have most of the T. daniellii seeds from ForestHouse germinate but it took a LONG time.  Some of the seeds that germinated didn't make it -- I think I have 4 plants now.  So again, some of these fruit seeds, especially the Africans, can remain viable a very long time so don't throw them out if you do not see germination & they have not started to rot.

Anybody have these, the Soren Aframomum seeds, or Horstedtia species seeds for sale or trade in the US? I emailed the USDA about the permit two and a half weeks ago and they still have not responded, so no luck with ordering from overseas. As soon as my permit is through I plan on ordering a ton of stuff from Forest House in Cameroon or Rare.Fruits.Amazon or some of the Borneo sellers, but until then I would love to find vendors or maybe intermediaries who can sell or trade within the US.
