Hello All,
Hopefully no one will be offended for resurrecting this thread from 2015. I'm curious to see any updates or follow up information by the people that planted multiple mango trees in a single hole. I'm looking for feedback for those that have multiple mango trees in a single hole that have been in the ground at least 3+ years.
I planted three trees (Manila, CAC, and Seacrest) in the same 4' x 4' hole two weeks ago. This is more of an experiment for me as I had limited space and needed get the trees into the ground (the CAC and Seacrest are from Florida - purchased as 3 gallon trees 2 months ago). The Florida trees were repotted into 5 gallon containers for 2 months after receiving them. The Manila tree was purchased locally (Home Depot) three weeks ago as a backup tree should the Florida varieties not fare well. I can always graft and top work the surviving trees or remove the non-performing (slow growing) tree(s) as needed.
