seedling i.d. : mangosteen or mango
« on: November 28, 2016, 09:18:51 AM »

This was planted sometime in July/August this year. I did plant some garcinia mangostana seeds over the summer but I find it hard to believe that the growth was so much since then. Comparing it to a lemon drop mangosteen seedling I was given, it looks very similar (stalk, leaves arrangement etc). What do the more experienced think? Thanks.

No where to plant it ...but at least I got it. ;)

It is not a mango! It is a Garcinia, just not sure if it is a G. mangostana.

I germinate lots of mangosteen seeds and that doesn't resemble mangosteen.  Not too sure but it looks more like g. Intermedia to me.
