Hey Frank, awesome harvest as usual. Which varieties do you consider best tasting around this time of year?

Hi Simon

This is when early and mid cherimoyas merge but this has been an unusual year. In fact, the last 3 years have been weird. we've seen Behl cherimoya, one of the best fruits around, yield zero. We all remember this article in December 2013 when Behl was King http://www.tropicalfruitforum.com/index.php?topic=8550.0

To answer your question I like Booth at this time of year. we will see how SCREC cherimoya tasting goes in 2 weeks. I hope the field station has had better luck than the backyard growers.

Another awesome harvest from your yard Frank!  Does this mean I will have to wait another 8 to 10 months for photos of Big Red?  At least you have some more Ilamas to show us.

That big red is beautiful! Looking forward to trying one some day.

Is now a good time to pick pinkertons?  My trees are still little but they each have a few fruit hanging that look ready.  Picked one a month ago and it never got ripe.

What is the biggest green fruit on the left, which is either an atemoya or cherimoya?  The one with the crack.  And the Ismael avocado at the top is considered Ismael 2?

The one with the crack is the ilama or A. rosada.  The big green anona on the left looks ljke the Booth.

Rob answer the anona question correctly and Ismael 2 has a nuttier taste but crops are much smaller. And to clarify Carlo.'s results he fruited Ismael 2 not Ismael 1 ,which is the one I posted these last two months, and the only Ismael i have in my yard because of its high yield.
