Sapodilla pollination
« on: July 05, 2017, 10:45:39 AM »
I have 2 sapodilla trees, both on the ground, 8 feet tall. One with no flower, and the other one with tons of flowers. Any ideas how to pollinate the sapodilla tree? Thanks

Are they different types of sapodillas? I would water extra there isn't anything else you can do. I have multiple trees and
have never had an issue but many threads have dealt with this issue. I have a young haysa and it produces fruit where
other members have not had success. I always see ants crawling on the branches and trunk of tree and thought they were
part of the pollination? Don't let the flowers dry up by watering frequently and hopefully there are other trees in your area
and if cross pollination is important it will happen. Bees can pollinate up to 3 miles so maybe a neighbor can help?
