Large leaves
« on: June 30, 2018, 10:21:48 AM »
I have been growing citrus in the ground for three years. They do get some damage in winter, but usually just a little leaf drop or damage to unhardened branches. This year I have noticed many more large leaves and I guess you would call them water suckers. We have had copious amounts of rain and many cloudy days this spring, and was wondering if this is the reason for it. Maybe the tree needs to use up the excess water from the soil. They get at least 8 hours of sun (when it shines). The leaves are large, dark green and beautiful to look at.  This is occurring on several of my trees. Is my thinking way out of line, and if so is there anything I need to do?

Thanks,
TFN
