Bumping this old thread up!I have fruited my seedling from Marcos this past year. It was delicious and I had the same impression as Marcos in that it was sweet and had an apricot-y flavor, less tannins and "tartness" that you might find with the classic E. involucrata. I have no idea what to think of it's classification but it does morphologically represent E. involucrata minus the fruit color itself, which as far as I know, isn't usually criteria for being a different species.
