Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Planting Newly Grafted Tree in Ground
« on: June 06, 2021, 02:51:58 PM »Good Morning All,
I am not sure if this has been asked but was wondering if a newly grafted tree can be planted in ground before the graft takes?
I am wanting to plant a Avocado tree in ground before the dog days of summer get here. I have several grafts on a rootstock avocado tree that haven’t quite taken.
Should I wait?
Thanks in advance for the help and advice.
I'd wait for a good amount of foliage so you have a food factory for root growth.
Thank for the advice Mark.
It is looking like all grafts are taking but the buds are just now opening up.
I will definitely wait then.
I appreciate the help.
