I’ve been eyeing them but I can’t buy.
No space here.

I’m trying to buy a Royal Rainier tree but have not found a retailer.
Maybe multi graft into 2 trees then remove 2 trees.

They are late a month this year.

I would move it away from the house so it gets some chill to trigger flowering.

Royal Lee and Coral Champagne both are flowering at the same time.
They are in the same group so they can’t cross pollinate each other.

Royal Crimson can provide pollens to both.
Tree is small so no flowers.
No cherries this year.

Anyone in SoCal have high chill hour cherry flowering?

Champagne Coral needs 400 chill hours but it’s flowering here.

I ate another fruit.
It had 5 seeds.
Still not sweet.

Soak seeds in bag for a day.
Wet paper towel the squeeze all water out.
Wrap seeds in damped paper towel.
Put in bag and wait.

I see a couple of seeds with white tips today.
Ready to pot then in a couple of days.

Are yours ready?

Welcome to the forum!!

This is the first I'm hearing about Lisa Pride, please share the story behind these if you have the info.
I assume Lisa X African Pride

Good assumption.
Fruit looked more yellow no red.
Still waiting on 1st fruit here.

One weather woman said this is the third SA wind in 10 days.

I lost a tamarind tree due to dryness.
I lost a golden shower tree same week.
An Atemoya tree lost half the leaves.
Once a week watering a potted plant wasn’t enough.

I upped watering so it’s not bad now.

I have short trees in small lot.
Wind is not a problem here.

The heat is nice.
We might escape frost this February.

6 small trees bloomed last year.
0 this year.

317
Atemoya has strong apical dominance.
On small tree, 3rd branch from top doesn’t grow well.
It get worst when 3rd branch get a little shade from branches above.

I have AP on cherimoya rootstock.
I graft other varieties on the AP branches.

I have a Dream on cherimoya rootstock.
I graft other varieties on the Dream branches.

I have a cherimoya with a few branches.
I graft other varieties on those

There were many graft failures when those trees were small.
Much less failures when the trees were bigger.

Many ways to get a multi-graft tree.

Last year my Sumo tree had 3 fruits.
Those fruits were seedless.

This year that same tree has 18 fruits.
I ate 1 fruit.
It had way too many seeds.

I may net tree this spring to see if fruits have seeds later.

Cherilata grows well on cherimoya rootstock.

320
Put it in an oven to protect from dust and humidity.
Should be ready in 3-7 days.

Remember to remove it before you use the oven.

321
Mine in the yard drops leaves in March then die back.
I’m hiding some in shed to see if this help.

Yours have wind protection from 2 walls and a patio door.
It could absorb enough infrared from those walls and the patio door to do well.

322
AFAIK version 1 is a seedling.
Version 2 supposes to be real.

My friend gave me v2 scion.
1st fruit was small, looked hideous, had few seeds.

323
That macapuno looks great!

Gefner looks like this around here.

This is Lisa.
Gefner should have this texture like Lisa.
Immature Gefner has a texture of a block of rubber.
