Looks like Couroupita guianensis- Canonball tree
Pretty flowers, but I don't think people usually eat the fruits.
Also related to the Brazil nut and Paradise nut.

You're absolutely right Anisha! First time i' ve learned about cannonball tree and googled it immediately. Atleast the fruit can be enjoyed by the animals. This forum is really awesome. Thanks!

Even the animals avoid the fruit, because when cut open the fruit has a lousy, nauseating smell.
