It's time to increase watering of your grumichamas in South Florida. I see some new buds/leaves staring to form on one of my trees so I'm now increasing watering all of my grumichamas  to daily for increased odds of blooming/fruit set in the future.

No, the one pictured was planted two years ago. The one we traded last year has done very well and doubled in size. It is currently flushing beautifully colored leaves and is about 2 feet high.

Acidic fertilizer will help bloom.

I just started watering the day posted so it was 14 days yesterday of daily to twice daily watering heavily with a hose pipe (sorry plants... no irrigation here). All 3 plants started blooming yesterday & this morning. Watering heavily at this time of year after the stress of winter & lack of water has consistently 3 years in a row produced blooms & fruit on all 3 plants (sorry plants.. no fertilizer for you guys). I seldom fertilize and only when I see leaf change and 1 of the 3 plants needs some but I'll wait till after fruit harvest...

Nice picture pineislander, hopefully you'll get worm free fruit.... Low odds here as the loquats are full of worms presently...
