If i were you i would make sure the tree is grafted. It doesn't look like the seller is selling grafted trees, those look like seedlings. You can send a message to seller and ask.

Nice tree you have there u grew it from seed?

The fruit and trees look alot like mine. Its likely not grafted, but these come true to type in only a couple years.

ok, thanks guys for your input! no, I bought that tree about a year or two ago.. it just has been growing and has flowers this year.. but the flowers were really small too.. and the leaves as well.. I do add fertilizer to it (a 20-20-20 and other kinds too).. I even added a 22-0-0 to try and push the leaves.. but they still come out small.. when I do research on other sugar apple trees, the leaves are very big.. so I'm not sure if mine is a sugar apple tree or not.. even the ones in the ebay picture has very big leaves.. I'm thinking the trees on ebay are probably grown from seed and would need at least another 2-3 years before fruiting properly.. so that's why I'm only offering $40 for it  :D I got mine for about $40 too back then..

do you guys have any sugar apple trees like the Big Red / Big Green ( or other bigger variety that taste good )?

he just gave me a counter-offer for $49.99 (free shipping) .. still seems kind of high.. but it looks to be a 5-gallon size tree.. what do you guys think? Of course, if you have any similar sized ones (or bigger), I can buy from you guys..  ;D

Michsu,

For $50 along with free shipping, that is really cheap.  Other big vendors charge around $30 just for shipping.

It looks like a 1 gallon orange pot to me. Is that the photo you're looking at? If it were on the other side of the pool I'd say it's a 15 gallon.
You might want to ask to make sure.

ok thanks.. I sent him a message to ask how big the trees are.. the last two pictures have the tree at about 5 gallons size? Even though the pot is small, the tree is pretty big?

michsu, your tree looks normal to me. Leaves on top look as big as the one on eBay. But small leaves/big leaves depends on the well being of the plant. Yours is on a slope, full sun (or lots of sun), and so I think it'd just need to grow its roots more before giving priority to vegetative growth.

One thing might help to speed up vegetative growth in your case, LOTS of mulch!

SHPULD BE A GREFTED TREE...BY SEEDS THERES NOT POSIBILITIES TO OBTEIN A SEEDLING EQUAL TO THE MOTHER TREE.
