Here is my white jade that I bought from spaugh two years ago. One is finally fruiting and the other one was over watered, so it would not fruit but gave me multiple shoots. The 5 with burnt leaves are some supersweet ones I happened to see at costco, supposedly Maui Gold. Very excited to try out the White Jade for the first time.

I bought some white jade pineapples pups from him 3 years ago, and they are now fruiting for the first time.

It is similar to the crystal seedless guava but is red, sweet, and still crunchy when ripe, all the characteristic I love in a guava. Has anyone tasted the fruit and is it worth looking for?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Fruit thieves rant

It is worse here in SoCal, thieves are hitting the nurseries and stealing whole trees from people’s yard.

Mulberry is very easy to root from cutting.  Just buy couple scions from the member and root them.  You should get some fruit very soon.

I got a tree off craigslist. White mulberry cannot be rooted from cuttings, they have to be grafted said the guy that sold to me. That's why they tend to be more expensive than their counterpart, the black pakistan.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks. That is quite a drive but will save it for last resort.

Does anyone know where to buy a tree or scions?

Thanks in advance.

I am in Orange County, CA.  Please let me know, I tried the fruit and like it much better than the black one.

Quick question, do these ripen off tree? I just bought a few to try before buying the tree but I don’t think that they are ripe yet(still hard).
they fall of the tree when ripe, and they should be pretty firm

Well I bought some locally since I wanted to try them before buying the tree, but I think the ones I bought were picked off the tree and not fell down from ripening.

That's a relief. I guess I'll just put it in the ground now.

Can someone tell me why the leaves are turning red? I bought the tree about a month ago and it is still sitting inside the pot. I planned to put it in the ground in Spring or should I do it now?

Does anybody know a nursery or private party that sells one or are they still banned?
