Canarian Mangifera harvest
« on: August 08, 2013, 04:08:05 PM »
Dear friends, this are some mangifera fruits I recantly harvested:

M. laurina and M. casturi

The green asian mango is cv Mun

Whole display

I can't say much about the taste, because Fascel was overripe, while Gouveia and Isis were not properly ripe when I tasted them. Madame Francis, Mun and Osteen were pretty nice, M. laurina was very aromatic with an exotic-mandarin taste, but for me, the winner was kasturi! It is not very juicy, but has a strong sweet-resinous maracuya-mango taste. I was very pleased with this one :)

You are a lucky man Felipe, those look incredible!  I'd love to hear your tasting experiences, esp. with the non "mango" mangifera.
