Old Mamey tree dying.
« on: Today at 12:04:13 PM »
Hi...1st time poster! Have an old Mamey tree a minimum of 25yrs old?. Live in Puerto Rico. It's been a dry winter for here. Half the tree is looking very bad. Leaves have turned brown and look terrible! Thinking of getting the chainsaw out and getting rid of the bad looking limbs. In hopes to give energy to the half still thriving? We have had termites but have gotten rid of all visible nests, but still battle them. Hasn't been fruiting the greatest last 2 yrs. Wondering if anyone could advise if this sounds like a sound plan or has any other advice? Thanks
