Looks to be a good timber tree. Very termite resistant. Have you eaten the fruits and if so can you give a description?

Hi Hendrik,

I am interested in some 10 to 20 seeds but depends on price. I would like to know if you or any South Africans have ever used the species as rootstock for grafting other cultivated Diospyros species like the Asian persimmons or the American persimmons. Is it termite-resistant as described in the websites? I got terrible termites problems here in Pretoria as they feed on the roots of my Asian persimmons and extremely difficult to get rid of them without killing the tree. Kindly confirm price, shipping, payment mode and availability.

Diospyros Lotus is termites resistant and its used as a rootstock for the asian persimmons .
