What would you recommend to get rid of these weevils on my lychee tree?

Yeah I find them on my Longans and lychees too. To be honest I just squish them with my gloves on and throw them to the floor for the bugs to eat.

They are the only pests on my guava.
I drop them to the ground and step on them before they fly off.

They are a problem for younger lychee trees as the leaf munching sets the trees growth back. One it gets older it's not that big of a deal.
For lychee and longan I'd soil drench it just so it can grow without problems for the first 2-3 years after that I'd stop.

I have struggled with the Sri Lankan weevils
I was told that imidycloprid would work but it didn't work for me.
This product will work in fact it has worked better then anything

The problem with the weevil is it lays eggs in the ground and the larvae feed on the roots and then
when the larva pupates the weevils attack the new leaves. So the initial spray will get rid of the adults but
in a month there will be another infestation. The damn weevils live in Oaks and other trees so its really
hard to get rid of them permanently. I thought of drenching the leaves and then doing a follow up every
month on just the trunk but I hit them and eventually they come back. I don't use the poison when the
tree is flowering or has fruit either.

Yep, Same. The worst of the worst for weevils is the cuban may beetle, which will completely and totally defoliate an entire tree multiple times in a year. I lost a pantin mamey to them when they defoliated once, then a month later defoliated the new growth. Best technique to get rid of the cuban may beetle has been removing food sources (eg, weeds / grass) from grubs. However, anything planted within 20 - 30 feet of the property line is fair game, 'cause my neighbors all have grass.

There is a natural control option, if you can get two things right.
I had a pretty large beetle grub situation when I spread a lot of mulch. I noticed an unusual wasp hovering over the mulch and asked an entomologist friend about it. There is a type of wasp which parasitizes the scarab beetle family laying eggs in the grubs. The problem is that to have the wasp present along with the beetle you have to have habitat for the wasp which is mainly flowers in the asteracea and apiacea family, Asteracea are the daisy type flowers and apiacea are the dill/coriander type flowers.

There is a bayer product that kills grubs, which should be effective on the may beetle (when in the grub stage).

Wow, you learn something everyday... I have always found the Cuban May Beetle upside down in my yard or stuck swimming in some water - I always help them out before. But now finding out the damage they can do... hmmm not sure I will let them live now.

The Sri Lankan weevils are active at night so regular lizards and birds don't help
