Maprangs of all varieties are way more resistant to anthracnose than Manifera indica of cv's.Some of the mayon chid varieties have been developed and the very seasonal parts of thailand at 18 latitude and they show no sign of anthracnose during the wet season. They are grown in some parts of nth Qld where rainfall is 160 inches/yr and they don't show signs of anthracnose.I have seen a couple of sickly damaged trees with what could be mild anthracnose but I'm not sure if that is what it was.
