This is being advertised as the best grafting tool in the world. It looks pretty slick. Has anyone used it?

Folks that have used similar ones say they suck.  I would certainly try one out first or have a return policy in place.

Hands on using certain knives is much better regarding what counts - lining up the cambiums which hardly ever much regarding scion/rootstock girth.

I have one and it sucks for most the grafting I do, mangos. If I remember correctly, I got one out of three take with the grafting tool and around 9 out of 10 using a box cutter. There is very little cambium contact and the cuts are not very sharp. I feel they would work ok with deciduous trees which are much easier to graft.

I remember reading about someone who is using utility folding Knife for grafting. You do not need to sharpen the blade because you can just replace it (very cheap).

There was  a post on these things some time ago,  from what I remember,  they suck for mango,   but are ok for some other types of grafting.
