I think you have a true one, it's looking as my one. There is one test very easy to verify...rub a leaf, it's smelling star anise, it is.

Here my plant I brought for Switzerland here in Greece... it's starting to grow crazy...lot of buds

I think I buried them around 3cm. Do you have any idea of the rate of success you had? how many seeds you sowed? in which type of soil did you sowed them? So the idea would be just putting on the surface the seeds? I heared that some people covered them with degraded leaves to conserv enough humidity, what do you think about that?

Dear all,
I should receive some fresh seeds from Guadeloupe of nutmeg, but each time I tried to sow them, noting has grown. Last time I brought back some fresh seeds in wet paper, I collected in Thailand 1kg and put them in soil after 2 days, but nothing grown. Does someone has any training with nutmeg (Myristica fragrans)?

I tasted litchi from Thailand which I don't know the name of the variety, but fruit was really larger than a common litchi like the ones from Madagascar (2.5X the weight), lot of juice and flavour totally different. Very fresh. I post some pictures if you have any idea, because it looks like the ones posted by Mike T and Samuel:

Hi !

So yes, please let me know what about these seeds availability (price, shipping,...)

I have a greenhouse for my plants (you can see also clove and others which can't survive outside of course), this year we had -19°C. Problem with fungus is correlated with humidity and also quality of the plants!

In fact, I saw in a scientist article from China about star anise cultivation, that the minimum data temperature recorded were about 0-3°C.

see you soon.
