Mango dormancy
« on: February 01, 2017, 10:07:20 PM »
Does anyone know when mangos come out of dormancy? Specifically minimum temps for growth to resume. We are 70s during the daytime and upper 40s at night.

Most SoCal mango trees started to push within the last 2 weeks.  I fertlized trees with 0-55-0 for some extra encouragement.

Warren is correct. Flower buds on my grafted Ah Ping started a week ago and now it looks like LZ's turn.

Resurrecting this post: in tropical regions do mangos EVER do dormant? Do they continue to grow under favorable weather or do they by nature have to go dormant for short periods???
