Dupuis has been great for me this year. Delectable.
LZ has been not at its peak but still holds its own regardless.
PPK is probably most consistently good year on year.
Coconut Cream has been a real winner this year.
This year was a rough year for mangoes but that has some upside. My Sweet Tarts were quite large...left me wondering if thinning (from weather or otherwise) was the cause. Rare to find a big mango that is world class flavour, sweetness and texture.
Ice Cream has been fab this year.
Honorable mention: Pickering has been great. I left them late...really late..and they were hardly spoiled on the inside and yes...they were very sweet.
Pram Kai Mea: also a super sweet one again.
Ewais: sweet!
Julie: Dr. Campbell once said its peak flavor occurs within a few hours, faded before and after. I got one today that must have been right in the window. Delicious.
My fruit ripened this year fast so I had to resort to refrigeration. I've never done that in any meaningful way in the past. This year half my purchases are in the fridge. So far, they are doing well. The top notch Julie was there a few days.
What did I miss? Orange Sherbert, Edgar are the main ones that come to mind. All in all, a good year so far, noting there are a bunch of fruit I haven't tasted yet (Fruit Punch, ValCarrie, Guava, Taralay in particular).
