Tim and David Garcia

have exhausted my rubber sugar apple seed supply.

I will email u when they are ready...and will report with details of the fruit quality.  the fruits definitely look much different than regular sugar apple...the areoles are much flatter, and look like a nice masonry job (like a brick sugar apple).

got a chance to try the "rubber sugar apple " today. the fruits ripen up strangely, or at least my first one did. it was soft , but rubbery when  I squeezed it, to check for ripeness.  it was rubbery on the tree when I picked it, and rubbery when I went to cut the fruit a few days after picking.

I was surprised by the texture.   it reminded me of sugar apple mixed with coconut flesh...and the texture wasn't rubbery so to speak, but definitely firm, like a soft coconut meat.

I really liked it, and was wondering if this fruit might have had a different texture if I let it ripen further??  I have two more fruits to go, so I will try to let them become even more ripe.

this first fruit was quite small, but tasty...it might not be a good representation of the cultivar; but I'm pleased.   I might have extra seeds as well.  I will let the forum know asap.
