That tree is not a Myrtaceae, SeaWalnut.

Myrtaceae have opposite leaf arrangement and that is alternate.
You are right.I got a wrong fruit tree instead of wax jambu.
Now will be really hard to identify this tree unless it fruits .

Eleagnus latifolia ( sho shang ) not myrtaceae .

I took a little video clip to share with my non tree friends. Tree seems to be doing very well after planting. I gave it a little shade tent (30% or so) and it's on deep water every other day.
